I\u2019m keen on finding brilliant dark fantasy, romantasy (both commercial and upmarket in scope), dark academia, and anything with political intrigue. I\u2019m looking for novels that will keep me reading into the early hours of the morning. I want to be consumed by the world and magic system, the plot, complex and flawed characters (the more morally grey, the better!), and irresistible, heartbreaking romance. Think authors like Leigh Bardugo, Tamsyn Muir, R.F. Kuang, Naomi Novik, Deborah Harkness, Chloe Gong, Ava Reid, Sabaa Tahir or M. L. Wang. I'd also love to see anything that could be compared to\u00a0<i>Castlevania\u00a0<\/i>or\u00a0<i>Penny Dreadful.\u00a0<\/i>I am open to working with authors within these genres who have previously self-published. I'm also a huge fanfiction reader and always welcome submissions from fanfiction authors looking to write original fiction!<\/p><div><br\/><p>In crime and thriller, I\u2019m particularly drawn to stories with a big psychological element, a very dark edge or an unexpected twist \u2013 I\u2019m still looking for the high of that reveal in<i> Gone Girl.<\/i>\u00a0I want to see novels with unhinged women doing unhinged things - think the tone of <i>I'm a Fan<\/i> by Sheena Patel in a crime setting. I love the narrative structure and voice in books like <i>How to Kill Your Family <\/i>by Bella Mackie,\u00a0<i>Anatomy of a Scandal<\/i> by Sarah Vaughan, <i>Blood Orange<\/i> by Harriet Tyce,<i>The Push<\/i> by Ashley Audrain, <i>Girl A <\/i>by Abigail Dean and\u00a0<i>A Certain Hunger<\/i> by Chelsea G.
